Normie’s Greatest Hits

Below are links to some highlights from the last 4 years.  The aim is to present some destinations that may suit travellers with less time available and/or different transport and accommodation options if you don’t have a motorhome.  These highlights are of course bound by our preferences and naturally may not appeal as much to travellers with different tastes.  While we have visited many of Europe’s capital cities we try to avoid larger population centres where possible and head for the scenic landscape, rural vista, quaint village, vineyards, etc.

There is no point listing major destinations as they are well covered by many sources.  We will try to mention the more ‘off the beaten track’ places that you may not have considered when planning your trip.   At least one of the links at the bottom of each post should contain a map showing routes of the area.
